NSW’s campaign at the 2023 Chemist Warehouse Australian Track and Field Championships received a great lift on day one with a win in the men’s U20 pole vault, while on the track, NSW teenage race walkers Allanah Pitcher and Lizzy McMillen strode to personal bests, National titles and medals.

At the recent State Championships, Athletics NSW presented many awards from our previous season (2021/22) to a number of available recipients. It was an important opportunity to recognise our athletes and volunteers who have achieved during the season 2021/22. Hometown athlete, Jessica Hull capped off a terrific 2023 Sydney Track Classic on Saturday night at the Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush. NSW Championships: 15-year-old Chelsy Wayne shatters records winning discus

At the age of just 15, Wollongong’s Chelsy Wayne has become the youngest winner of an event at the NSW Track and Field Championships in 41 years. Competing in a wet discus circle in the rain are not the best conditions, but that didn’t seem to worry Chelsey as she spin the 1kg implement out to 49.94m.
