Athletics NSW is offering athletes aged 10-14 the opportunity to take part in our School Holiday Camps from 8-31 January 2024 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

NSW 10km Walk: Isaac Beacroft smashes Australian record

On a gloomy night at Homebush, the athletes really shone, led by 16-year-old Isaac Beacroft setting an Australian Under-18 10,000m walk record, his third in less than a year, and astonishingly on debut at the distance. In the women’s, sisters Allanah and Sienna Pitcher, claimed the open and under-20 10000m walk titles.

7 NSW athletes take first step toward Paris

New week in Honiara in the Solomon Islands seven NSW athletes will compete in the Pacific Games. The 5-day competition is a key competition for those with Paris Olympic Games aspirations.

NSW Relays Championships Review

Two major records were broken at a busy 2023 NSW Relay Championships where 130 clubs competed at the major teams event of the summer. The open sprints are always hotly contest at these championships, and in 2023 we saw the women’s 4x100m and 4x200m records broken.

NSW 3000m Champs: Holly Campbell defends, while Josh Phillips adds 3k to his 10k win

Following intermittent rain during the afternoon, the weather cleared for the NSW 3000m championship races at ES Marks Field last evening. Lining up in the 41st edition of the women’s race, Holly Campbell defended her title and claimed the fourth win in six years for the Campbell family, following twin sister Paige’s victories in 2018 and 2019. Josh Phillips won the 20th men’s title, first held in 2004, to add to his recent 10,000m win.

2024 Chemist Warehouse Sydney Track Classic Venue Announcement

The 2024 Chemist Warehouse Sydney Track Classic is making its mark in the Eastern Suburbs, scheduled to be held at the iconic E.S. Marks Athletics Field on Saturday, 23 March 2024. Once known as the home of athletics in NSW, this event is the highest-level track and field meet to grace the Eastern Suburbs in over three decades

Treloar Shield continues to grow 

The prestigious Treloar Shield is making its return on the weekend, and the series is already showing signs of being significantly larger than last year with participation numbers on the rise.

Last Saturday Athletics NSW awarded Life Membership to Technical Official Del Warrick. The unassuming start crew team member was presented with Athletics NSW’s highest award by Board Chair, Matthew Whitbread.

NSW All Schools - Juniors day 1: - Ashley Hogan on the rise

On day one of the Junior NSW All Schools Athletics Championships we saw established stars continue their reign, but also the emergence of some bright new talent. It was a fourth consecutive win for hurdler Tammin Lampret and a second consecutive record for race walker Sophie Polkinghorne, while in the field exciting new athletes emerging include discus thrower Ashley Hogan and Csenge Zsuzsanna Zsombor in the pole vault.

World Road Running Championships: Hull 5th & McDonald 7th

NSW’s distance duo Jessica Hull and Morgan McDonald closed their 2023 campaigns with epic performances at the World Road Running Championships in Riga overnight. In contrasting seasons, Hull placed fifth in the women’s mile, while McDonald was seventh in the men’s 5km event.

NSW All Schools - Day 3 Review: Dan Williams leads the world; Perkins claims title #6 as we see all-time bests in the women’s 80

The performances went up a notch on the final day of the NSW All Schools Championships, led by a World leading performance by 800m athlete Daniel Williams. Sam Perkins competed a perfect NSW All Schools journey with a sixth consecutive title, while 16-year-olds Ivy Boothroyd (800m) and Izzi Louison-Roe (triple jump) recorded the best ever performances in the history of the championships.
