Athletics NSW Official of the Year Award to Remember Geoffrey Martin OAM
It is hard to imagine that anyone in Australian and Oceania athletics possessed a bigger “wing” than former Athletics NSW official Geoff Martin who passed away on 22 April 2018 - such was the number of the sport’s family who were taken under it.
To recognise one of our most distinguished Technical Officials, and real characters in athletics, the annual Athletics NSW Officials Award will be named in his memory and titled the “Geoffrey Martin Award’. Members of Geoffrey’s family will attend the awards on 29 April 2023, where we will remember Geoff with a tribute, along with the announcement of the first recipient of the award.
