The partnership will be seen in action next week, with ACPE being the naming rights partner of the 2019 ACPE NSW All Schools Track & Field Championships. At the partnership launch on Tuesday, Athletics NSW Marketing and Communications Manager, Daniel Laus said he was looking forward to partnering with ACPE.

“With this partnership, Athletics NSW has gained valuable resourcing around major events such as the NSW All Schools Track and Field Championships from ACPE students, with the vision of transitioning these internships into paid work by putting them through NSW officiating courses.  This will strengthen our pool of officials and at the same time give these students valuable industry experience.”

“ACPE also provides a really good fit in terms of course offerings for our elite athletes, who are afforded more flexibility to train and compete at the highest level, whilst also still being able to continue their studies.”

Michael McKnight, Student Engagement and Partnerships Manager at ACPE said he was excited at the opportunities the partnership with Athletics NSW would offer.

“We are delighted to be able to announce this partnership and to be working with Athletics NSW and its members. This partnership will bring new opportunities for the ACPE community, engaging not only our student network but our alumni network also. Athletics NSW will provide exciting new development opportunities through an extensive industry experience program including internships, volunteer roles and paid work across a range of events. In addition, students will benefit from the wide range of accreditations and learning opportunities available to them through this partnership.

We are looking forward to connecting Athletics NSW and its members to a clear pathway for future education in Sport, Dance, Health and Fitness. For those that are looking to turn their passion for sport into a career, we look forward to providing further clarity around the diverse range of future career opportunities available in sport. The Athletics NSW TTP program is high level performance pathway and we hope to be able to add value by educating these athletes both in the classroom and on the track.”
