2023/24 Memberships are now OPEN

The 2022/23 season ushered in a new era for Athletics in NSW. The return of the Treloar Shield headlined a new standard for the summer of Athletics in NSW, with record numbers showing up week in and week out for the revamped format including the introduction of the first Treloar Shield Grand Final was a great success and returned a strong inter-club focus to NSW competition, providing us with a platform to continue to build on.

The Sydney Track Classic also returned as the highlight of our domestic season, with close to 4,500 fans packing into SOPAC to witness the best quality single-day Athletics meet held in Australia this year – scenes not seen at Olympic Park for many years.

With only a few short months left in the 2022/23 season, at ANSW we are well advanced in our planning for the 2023/24 season and are excited about building upon the many and improved competition and spectators offerings we provided and look forward to sharing more information with you about these soon.

As you have no doubt seen over the past several weeks, we have announced some significant changes to our membership offering for the 2023/24 season and beyond.

We have developed this new membership offering to provide a true and meaningful pathway for everyone – regardless of age, ability, background or circumstances – to participate in a lifelong journey in the sport of Athletics and of course provide as much Athletics value to our current and prospective community as possible

Providing access to the same great benefits, we are also reducing the prices for the other major ANSW membership categories. 

The ANSW Junior membership for athletes aged 13-17 will drop from $120 to $40, while 18 and 19-year-olds will have their price drop from $120 to $90 this season. The price of our Open Membership ($150 down to $140) and our Concession Membership ($120 to $110) are also dropping this season and we will continue to offer the Community Membership at just $15 – the perfect entry-level for anyone to start their athletics journey with us as a community athlete or a recreational runner

ANSW Kids is a new brand of athletics that will provide a single pathway for all 3-7 years old children to begin their journey in the sport – at a price of only $30. The new ANSW Youth membership for athletes aged between 8-12 years old is only $40.

So what do I need to do?

Nothing.

Your current membership with ANSW does not expire until 30 September 2023.

From Wednesday 4 October 2023 you will be able to renew your membership with one of the new membership categories above (please do not try and renew your membership prior to this date, as you will not be able to at the new rates)

When you renew you will notice that we have introduced an annual subscription model for all memberships which will be valid for 365 days from the time of purchase. For example, if you purchase a membership on 1 December 2023, your membership will expire on 30 November 2024, and receive an automatic notification letting you know how to renew.

The subscription model is another way that we aim to provide increased value to our members all year round.
