FAQ for the 2024 Sydney 10
Event Information
The Sydney 10 is one of the flattest, fastest 10km events in the country, and this year’s course is ready for you to run your PB!
They Sydney 10 also hosts the 2024 NSW Road Running Championships.
The course runs through many of the landmarks of Sydney Olympic Park. Around the Olympic Stadium, past the Olympic Cauldron, and finishes on the Athletics Track at Sydney Olympic Park.
It is fast and flat and perfect for participants of all standards to run that elusive PB.
The course is AIMS certified and endorsed by World athletics, meaning all performances are official and can be used for records and can be added to World athletics profiles and top lists.
A course map will be available shortly.
Yes, there is a drink station on the course. It is approx. 1.5km and 6km on the course so participants in the 10km will be able to access it twice, and 5km will be able to access it once.
Water and fruit will be available at the finish line.
Event Entry
The Sydney 10 is a fantastic opportunity for non-registered athletes to participate in ANSW products, but ANSW are cognisant to ensure that the NSW Championship component of the event is promoted and recognised appropriately.
As such, and after an extensive review, ANSW will manage two portals. ANSW members will register through RevSport (Here), which will assign a discount (close to 50%), without the need to receive a discount code, as well as ensure that your membership is validated in an attempt to quickly recognise and present the State Championship medallists.
Non-members will enter through the race roster link (Here) given they are not members of ANSW. After the registration, the experience will be the same regardless of what entry method used, with the added benefit for ANSW members of eligibility in a State Championships.
More information on becoming an ANSW member can be found on our website here.
Registration for the Sydney 10 is available up to and including race day, however if you wish to enter and be considered for the State Championships (and to receive the discount) you must register by midday on Wednesday 15th May.
Please note, if you want to register on the day this is a cash free event.
For ANSW members who register before 22nd April, bibs will be posted.
Those registered after 22nd April will need to pickup their bibs at the allocated collection times on the Saturday prior to event day, or on race morning.
You are currently not considered for the State Championship medals. However, if you email us at competitions@nswathletics.org.au we will update your registration to be considered for this Championships.
Unfortunately, you will not be eligible for a refund on the balance of the entry fee.
More information will be available closer to the event date.
