Youth Volunteering Program

The NSW Little's and Open's Champs are being held together as the final event on the NSW Athletics calendar delivered during the Summer Season, where thousands of athletes from almost 250 centres/clubs across NSW descend upon the home of athletics, the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.

This weekend is perfect for teenage athletes and supporters to get involved as a Youth Volunteer to ensure our youngest and open athletes get the opportunity to compete. This year, our event falls on:
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd March 2025

On the day we will offer 3 Sessions split into 2 hour periods of which volunteers can pick one or more timeslots.

**WHAT'S ON OFFER?**

• Getting involved with our State Championships whilst viewing from the best seat in the house
• Get up and close to see current plus future olympians competing
• Sport industry and Event Delivery Experience which can be added to your resume or tafe/university applications
• Complimentary Cap and Lanyard
• Complimentary lunch, snakcs and drinks during your shift
• The chance to meet new people, gain new skills and create new experiences
• Certificate of Appreciation
• Community service sign off for programs such as Duke of Edinburgh

**ROLES ON OFFER**

A range of duties are available to assist including:

• Admin Assistants/Runners
• Assisting Field Officials
• Assisting Track Officials
• Call Room
• Medals Presentation
• Officials Assistant (delivering water, snacks and food to officials)
• Product/Merch Handout
• Social Media
• Spectator Control
   

**SESSION TIMES**

• Session 1 - 10:00am - 12:00pm
• Session 2 - 12:00pm - 2:00pm
• Session 3 - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Please note, times are flexible and if you cannot commit to a full session, that is okay!
