Expressions of interest are hereby called for person(s) who may be interested in undertaking the role(s) of Age Group Manager at the NSW State Combined Carnival.

VENUE: Griffith Regional Sports Centre

DATE: Saturday, 1 & Sunday, 2 March 2025

 

Age Group Managers are responsible for:-

  • Checking that athletes have correct rego number, age patch, and sponsors patch prior to the first event. If they are missing any of the patches, they must obtain them from their Team Manager or from Information.

  • Handing out wrist bands to all athletes in their age group prior to their first event.

  • Accompanying athletes from the call room (marshalling) and to their field event.

  • Supervision of athletes who are waiting at a field event.

  • Helping to create and maintain a positive and supporting environment amongst the group.

  • Monitoring the group’s behaviour and helping to maintain an acceptable level of athlete behaviour while they are at the event.

  • Being vigilant for episodes of bullying, teasing, etc. amongst the group.

  • Dealing, if necessary, with and/or reporting unacceptable behaviour to the Chief Judge.

  • Escorting groups of athletes to and from the toilets, as required.

  • Wearing enclosed shoes at all times.

Over the two days of the carnival the Age Group Manager will accompany their appointed age group/gender to each of their field events. Age Group Managers are NOT to record at the event, this is the responsibility of the officials at the event.

The larger age groups will be split into colour groups, if required.

 

**Please note - If you do not see an age group listed, this will indicate that the nominations quota for Managers for that particular age group is full**
