Advanced Recreational Running Coach Course (Face to Face)

The Advanced Recreational Running (Level 2) accreditation is an extension of the Level 1 Recreational Running course.

It is designed for coaches who are interested in preparing athletes for long-distance running events, spanning 5 to 42kms (Marathon).

Advanced Recreational Running coaches primarily work with intermediate level runners aged 18 and above.

Advanced Recreational Running Course (Level 2) Information

Course Details:

Cost for the Advanced Recreation Running Course - $300

To obtain the accreditation you must:

• Attend the Advanced Recreational Running day
• Complete a short answer assessment.
• Complete the practical coaching assessment (signed off by an approved assessor).

Athletics Australia strongly recommends that the assessor supervises coach for the duration of a season (1 year) before signing off on the assessment.

Pre-requisites:

To gain the Advanced Recreation Running Coach accreditation, a coach must meet the following criteria:

• Be 16 years or older.
• Hold the Level 1 Recreational Running Coach accreditation.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

RPL Applications for Coaches are now available to apply for any level online to make the process easier for coaches who already hold the expected competencies of a given level of accreditation (Application Below).
