Level 2 Recreational Running Coach Course (Online)
The Level 2 Recreational Running accreditation is an extension of the Level 1 Recreational Running course.
It is designed for coaches who are interested in preparing athletes for long-distance running events, spanning 5 to 42kms (Marathon).
Level 2 Recreational Running coaches primarily work with intermediate level runners aged 18 and above.

Level 2 Recreational Running Course Information
Course Details:
Cost for the Level 2 Recreation Running Online Course - $300
To obtain the accreditation you must:
- Attend all online sessions detailed below:
Week 1: Tuesday 20th August 2024, 6:45pm – 8:15pm
Week 2: Tuesday 27th August 2024, 6:45pm – 8:15pm
Week 3: Tuesday 3rd September 2024, 6:45pm – 8:15pm
Week 4: Tuesday 10th September 2024, 6:45pm – 8:15pm
Week 5: Tuesday 17th September 2024, 6:45pm – 8:15pm
- Complete the Level 2 Recreational Running online modules
- Complete a short answer assessment.
- Complete the practical coaching assessment (signed off by an approved assessor).
Athletics Australia strongly recommends that the assessor supervises coach for the duration of a season (1 year) before signing off on the assessment.
Pre-requisites:
To gain the Level 2 Recreation Running Coach accreditation, a coach must meet the following criteria:
- Be 16 years or older.
- Hold the Level 1 Recreational Running Coach accreditation.
Recognition of Prior Learning:
RPL Applications for Coaches are now available to apply for any level online to make the process easier for coaches who already hold the expected competencies of a given level of accreditation (Application Below).
Level 2 Recognition of Prior Learning Application
