Level 1 Recreational Running Coach Course Online

The Level 1 Recreational Running accreditation is designed for coaches who are interested in preparing athletes for long-distance running events, spanning 3 to 5.5kms.

Level 1 Recreational Running coaches primarily work with novice runners, aged 18 and above.

Week 1: Sunday 14^th April 2024, 4pm – 5:30pm (AEST)
Week 2: Sunday 21^st April 2024, 4pm – 5:30pm (AEST)
Week 3: Sunday 28^th April 2024, 4pm – 5:30pm (AEST)
Week 4: Sunday 5^th May 2024, 4pm – 5:30pm (AEST)

To obtain the this coaching course accreditation you must:

• Attend all the online meetings
• Complete the Level 1 Recreational Running Coach online modules
• Complete the short answer assessment

Athletics Australia strongly recommends that coaches complete 30 hours of practical coaching in a club, school, professional or private setting before receiving their Level 1 coaching accreditation.

Pre-requisites:

Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

RPL Applications for Coaches are now available to apply for any level online to make the process easier for coaches who already hold the expected competencies of a given level of accreditation (Application Below).
