Level 1 Youth Coach Online Course

The Level 1 Youth Coach accreditation is designed for coaches who want to work with athletes aged 3-12 years old, and want to be involved in the early stages of athlete development (Fundamentals I and Fundamentals II in Athletics Australia’s Training and Competition Guidelines for Children and Adolescents).

The primary objective of a Youth Coach is to utilise a games-based approach to develop fundamental movement skills (such as running, jumping, and throwing) and foster physical literacy in an encouraging environment.

Youth Coaches specialise in roles within Sporting Schools programs, Primary Schools, and Little Athletics centres.

Course Details:

Cost for the Level 1 Youth Coach Course: $270.00

Week 1: Sunday 3^rd March 2024, 6:00pm – 7:30pm (AEDST)
Week 2: Sunday 10^th March 2024, 6:00pm – 7:30pm (AEDST)
Week 3: Sunday 17^th March 2024, 6:00pm – 7:30pm (AEDST)
Week 4: Sunday 24^th March 2024, 6:00pm – 7:30pm (AEDST)
Week 5: Sunday 31^st March 2024, 6:00pm – 7:30pm (AEDST)

Pre-requisites:

Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

RPL Applications for Coaches are now available to apply for any level online to make the process easier for coaches who already hold the expected competencies of a given level of accreditation (Application Below).
