The Australian Open and U20 Track and Field Championships (including Open-U20 Para and Combined events) will be held at the Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre from Thursday 30^th March - Sunday 2^nd April 2023.

In order to be eligible for the U20 NSW State Team, all U20 athletes must compete at the 2023 NSW Junior Championships being held from the 24th-26th February 2023. If you require an exemption please refer to the FAQ

Please note that there is no U23 age category at the Australian Championships

Entry

Before completing your entry, please ensure that you have read the Athletics NSW Selection Criteria and Policy.

Entries for para-athletes may compete in the same or similar events in one under-age group only but may also enter the same or other events in Open (if events are not held at the same time).

Athletes in under-age events will be accepted in a universal age group. Where the are at least three athletes confirmed for an age group in any event a separate championship event will be conducted.

If an athlete is competing out of their age group, throwing implements will be based on their age. 

Athletics NSW Selection Criteria and Policy

Team Levy and Entry Fees

The NSW State team levy is a one off fee of $40.00. 

The Athletics Australia event entry fee is $45.00 per athlete per event. 

There will not be a team physiotherapist attending for the duration of the event.

There will be NSW State Team Managers present for the duration of the event.
