2024/25 Age Groups, Specifications AND Rules

Age Groups

The Registration ages as displayed below will be the age group for which athletes will compete for Little Athletics Centre, zone, regional NSW State Championships (little Athletics and Juniors) and other Major Championships and competitions. There will be competitions (such as specialist meets) where events are graded, i.e events are not run in age groups, rather seeded based on performance. There will also be a different convention of age groups in the Treloar Shield (for point scoring purposes), however, athletes will still compete against athletes with similar age and skill. 

Always Check the rules of competition for each individual competition to confirm the age group you will compete in. 

Specifications 

The specifications indicate the throwing implement weights and Hurdle/Steeple heights that will be thrown as most of the NSW Athletics events for the 2024/25 season. 

The 2024 NSW All School Championships specifications will not follow the specifications outlined below. Please follow the specifications indicated on the event page here.
