^ While athletes will compete in the Under 12 age groups at the NSW Youth Championships, they will compete in the Under 13 at the Australian Championships. This is due to the way the athletes age group has been defined differently between ANSW and AA competitions. However while it is labelled differently, it is exactly the same cohort of athletes, all born in 2012. Athletes are not, in anyway competing against older athletes, it is simply a naming convention.
