The Athletics NSW Centenary Trust was set up in 1987 from a small surplus after the Centenary celebrations for Athletics NSW in 1987.
The aim of the trust funds is to assist NSW athletes in international events.
The Athletics NSW Centenary Trust was modelled on the 1978 Sydney University Athletics Club Centenary Trust setup by Clive Lee, John Treloar and Malcolm Harrison which continues today to support athletes from that club.
While many senior teams are fully funded, unfortunately junior team are not. In recent years Athletics NSW has used Centenary Trust funds to supported athletes selected in the Australian team for the pinnacle junior competition in Athletics, the World U20 Athletics Championships.
Athletics NSW welcomes contributions from the athletics community to enable the ongoing support of our athletes.
In 2024, the Centenary Trust provide $750 to 20 NSW athletes to attend World U20 Athletics Championships in Peru.
Thank you for your support!
