Long jump record holder favours the sprints – Sara Dougan

The NSW All Schools Championships have been conducted since 1936 and has well established which are rarely broken, but one athlete to smash a record at the recent championships was Sara Dougan who broke the 13 years long jump with a leap of 5.43m. Dougan recalled her memories of that record breaking jump.

The outstanding group have reached the highest levels in our sport and contributed decades of service to the athletics. They were honoured in the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre’s Path of Champions and at Athletics Australia’s annual awards and AGM.
