Four podiums at US College Championships

NSW athletes have claimed an outstanding four medals at the 2019 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) track and field championships held in Texas over the last four days. Crowed champions were Randwick Botany distance runner Morgan McDonald and UTS Norths javelin thrower Mackenzie Little.

Three NSW athletes named for Pacific Games

Australia’s growing opportunity to compete in their own region, both in Asia and Oceania, sees a team of 58 athletes selected to compete in the multi-sport Pacific Games, to be held in Samoa. Australia will compete in athletics, beach volleyball, rugby 7s, sailing, weightlifting and Taekwondo.

Thrilling races in the open men’s and women’s races highlighted a great day of history making results at the Waratah Series, incorporating the 29th NSW Cross Country Relays held in warm conditions at Miranda. Never before at the event had Bankstown won the men’s race or UTS Norths the women’s or a reactional running club win a medal.
