Athletics NSW CEO Appointment

Athletics NSW CEO Appointment

I have great pleasure in formally announcing that we have a new CEO for Athletics NSW.  After a lengthy and robust process (one of the best I’ve been involved with), I can announce that Kirin Lindop has accepted the position.

Kirin has been involved with the sport of Athletics since she was 9 years old.  She was a national High Jump Champion but more recently has been a distance runner.

Hunter Track Classic 2019 Preview

Hunter Track Classic 2019 Preview

The tenth edition of the Hunter Track Classic, first held in 2001, will feature six Olympians and 10 Commonwealth Games representatives in a high quality track and field bonanza. All the action kicks off at 6.00pm Friday at the Hunter Sports Field at Glendale in Newcastle.

The highlight is set be an attempt on the national 600m ‘best on record’ by the new national 800m record holder Joseph Deng and his world championship representative training partner Peter Bol who nearly beat Deng to the 800m record. Could he beat him to the 600m ‘record’?

Statement Regarding our Online Registration System

Statement Regarding our Online Registration System

Good evening,

Online entries for this Saturday’s Treloar Shield #7 and next week’s Country Championships were set to close 9am Wednesday 16/1.

We have been experiencing issues with the registration system that are out of our control and we are working hard with the service provider to rectify this issue, but they have not yet been helpful in providing us with a reason or solution.

Due to this issue, we will be extending entries.

For the Treloar Shield this weekend, online entries will still close at 9am tomorrow but we will accept on the day entries for the online price of $10. We ask that anyone who is able to enter online to please do so. If you have difficulties entering, you will be able to enter on the day. In order for us to ensure that we provide athletes with a correct final timetable, it is important that we get as many athletes as possible entering through the online system.
