Following his performance at the Australian 50km Walk Championship last weekend, 20 year old Adam Rutter (Sydney Pacific) has been nominated to the Australian Olympic Committee for selection to the Beijing Olympics.
Rutter, competing over the 50km distance for the first time, finished second to Jarred Tallent in Melbourne last weekend. Rutter's time of 3 hours, 52 minutes and 49 seconds smashed the NSW record by 11 minutes.
Rutter has represented Australia previously at the World Youth Championships, World Junior Championships and World Walking Cup.
