NINE NSW ATHLETES NAMED IN COMMONWEALTH YOUTH GAMES TEAM

NSW athletes make up almost a third of the athletics team to compete in Pune, India in October.

A majority of the team will represent Australia for the first time, with world youth representatives Selma Kajan and Vika Lolo the only NSW athletes having worn the green and gold previously. Kajan will add 4x400m relay committments to her 800m specialty, whilst Lolo will contest the shot and discus. Both athletes are being rewarded with selection after qualifying for the world junior championships but failing to gain selection due to the depth in their events in Australia.

Athletics NSW wishes to congratulate the following athletes who gained selection:

Eloise Graf        100m, 200m, relays
Selma Kajan      800m, 4x400m
Alicia Keir           800m, 4x400m
Amanda Bartrim             Pole Vault
Ashleigh Mumberson    Hammer Throw
Vika Lolo             Shot Put, Discus
Kevin Moore        200m, relays
Todd Wakefield   1500m
Rodney Blair        Long Jump
