A new team-based competition combining strength, endurance, power & extreme energy!
Nitro Athletics focuses on providing the most challenging and engaging fusion of discipline, technique and teamwork by adding a Nitro spark to traditional athletic events. Athletes will be forced to apply tactics and strategy in sprint, distance and field.
Teams: There will be 3 age categories (7 - 9 year olds, 10 - 12 year olds, 13 - 15 year olds) – all in the mixed category (50% Gender Split). Age will be based on the athlete's age as at 4 May 2019.
- Each team will consist of six athletes of the age group(s) as per above with 3 male and 3 female in each category.
- Teams can be composed either by schools, athletics clubs and also a group of friends or a combination of all 3 group(s).
- There will be a maximum of 8 teams in each category (24 teams in total)
- Each athlete can compete in two individual events and one relay. Should there be a clash in track/field events, the athlete will be permitted to take their throws or jumps once their race has finished
Events: 60m Sprint, 150m Sprint, Elimination 800m, 2 x 100m relay, Medley Relay (1 x 400m, 1x 200m, 2 x 100m), Long Jump, Shot Put and Vortex Throw.

How to Enter: Complete the Community Nitro Team Entry Form by Tuesday 30th April, 5pm and email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prizes: There will be team prizes for the first placed team in each of the 3 age categories.
