Illawarra Track Challenge

The Illawarra Track Challenge is an event offered by Athletics NSW in conjunction with Illawarra Blue Stars. Entry is open to all NSW registered athletes. Track events will be seeded in to A, B, C races etc. We anticipate strong competitive fields especially the 1 mile championship races.

Competition Status

This event is permitted by Athletics NSW. An ANSW permit allows athletes to qualify for national competitions.



Athletes must be registered with an Athletics NSW affiliated club for the 2017/18 season. If you are not currently registered with a club you can register online here. Interstate athletes who are registered members of their state organisation are welcome to enter.



Registered Athletics NSW club members must wear their correct club uniform. Athletes must have their Athletics NSW 2017-18 registration numbers attached on the front and back (except in jumps events).

Kings Sports Open Women's 60m Championship

NSW 60m Championships - State medals will be awarded in the open and U20 age groups

NSW 1 Mile Championships - State medals will be awarded in the open, U20, and 35+ age groups.

Little Athletics Illawarra Blue Stars (IBS) Events - FREE ENTRY

We are offering a number of events for Little Athletics NSW Members to join for free in the following age groups:

U/8's - 60m

U/10's - 60m and 100m

U/12's - 60m and 100m


Illawarra Blue Stars (IBS) Events - Masters Races

A number of Masters Races will be conducted over the 60m distance in 5 year age brackets. First, second, and third place athletes in each age group will receive a "Blue Stars" medal.


All track events will be open seeded races split into male and female divisions. Field events will be mixed gender (except long jump and triple jump) and split into divisions based on ability. After entries have closed competition management will confirm who is in what division.



Online entries are now closed. 

On the day entries are available for non-Championship events (LANSW, IBS and Classic events).

On the day entries for NSW Championship events (60m and 1 Mile) will be available at the Competition Manager's discretion. 

If accepted, late entry fees will be $35 for Championship events, and $20 for non-Championship events. Please arrive at Athlete Check-In least (1) hour before your event if you intend to enter an event/s on the day.

Little Athletics NSW Events - Free Entry

IBS Masters 60m Races - $10

Classic Events - $10 for unlimited events

NSW 60m and 1 Mile Championship events - $20



On the day entry is available but not guaranteed and will only be offered in events if there is sufficient space as determined by the ANSW Competition Manager. On the day entry will incur a higher fee of $35 for NSW Championship events and $20 for Non-Championship events. On the day entry must be completed one (1) hour prior to the athlete’s first event.

On the Day Check-in

All athletes in TRACK events must report to athlete check in to advise of their intention to compete at least sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled starting time of the event.


Athletes entered in FIELD events only, are not required to report to athlete check in. Instead, field event athletes must report directly to the field event site at least twenty (20) minutes before the scheduled start time.
