Competition Status

These events are permitted by Athletics Australia (AA). An AA permit allows athletes to qualify for international events and break state and/ or national records.



Athletes competing must be registered with an Athletics NSW club for the 2015-16 season, or be fully registered with Athletics NSW via the NSW Masters Association, and be aged 30+ as at March 4, 2017.


Registered Athletics NSW club members must wear their correct club uniform. Athletes must have their Athletics NSW 2016/17 registration numbers attached on the front and back (except in pole vault and high jump events).


Events on offer:

60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, sprint hurdles, long hurdles, steeplechase, walks, high jump, triple jump, long jump, pole vault, discus, hammer, javelin, shot put, weighted throw.  The Masters 10000m Championship event is incorporated into NSW Open State Championships (Feb 24 - 26, 2017).


Online entry is available here.  Paper-based entries are available here, and can be posted/emailed to the addresses listed. Once a manual entry is received, it is uploaded to the database here for you to double check (as of 16/02/2017);


The competition is priced at $20 per event, to a maximum of $70.  Entries close 8AM Monday February 27, 2017.


Late entries are only available for track events, if space is available, and at the discretion of the Competition Manager. No late entries for field events are available.


On the Day Check-in

Athletes must report to Athlete Check-In at least 60 minutes before the start of their first event to confirm their entry for the day’s events. Failure to check in may result in the athlete being scratched from the event/s.

Once checked in, TRACK athletes must report to the start of their event at least ten (10) minutes prior to the event starting time.

Once checked in, FIELD athletes must report to the start of their event at least twenty (20) minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the event, to allow warm ups to be completed. Athletes who report later may get fewer warm up attempts.
