Bankstown Invitational 2016


Bankstown Invitational 2016 is shaping up to be a night of great athletics not to be missed. With the Olympic Games and World Juniors Championships only a few months away, Bankstown “The Crest” is the place to chase your best performances and qualifiers (competition is open to all athletes of any level for ages 12yrs and up).

Competition Status

This event is permitted by Athletics Australia (AA). An AA permit allows athletes to qualify for international events and break state and/or national records.



Athletes must be registered with an Athletics NSW affiliated club for the 2015/16 season (interstate Athletes are eligible to compete)



Registered Athletics NSW club members must wear their correct club uniform. Athletes must have their Athletics NSW 2015-16 registration numbers attached on the front and back .

400m (Men & Women)

1500m (Men & Women)

100m Hurdles Women

110m Hurdles Men

3000m Steeple Men

Long Jump (Men & Women)

Shot Put (Men & Women)

Hammer Throw (Men & women)

Note: a 400m Hurdles (men and women's race) has been added to the program.  If you have already submitted an entry and would like to enter this event, email Katie Dunn directly. (13.02.2016).


Entry Fees

$10 per athlete (which will cover as many events as the athlete wishes to compete in excluding the 1500m)

$20 to enter the 1500m.


Entries will be available online here.  Entries will close midnight Tuesday February 16, 2016.

Late entries/on the day entry: $20 for all events, excluding the 1500m which will be priced at $30, pending space in the events.

(Note: field athletes will throw the weight relevant to their age groups).


On the Day Check-in

All athletes in TRACK events must report to athlete check in to advice of their intention to compete at least sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled starting time of the event.


Athletes entered in FIELD events only, are not required to report to athlete check in. Instead, field event athletes must report directly to the field event site at least twenty (20) minutes before the scheduled start time.
