These events are permitted by Athletics Australia (AA). An AA permit allows athletes to qualify for international events and break state and/ or national records.
Athletes must be registered with an Athletics NSW affiliated club for the 2017/18 season. If you are not currently registered with a club you can register online here.
Registered Athletics NSW club members must wear their correct club uniform. Athletes must have their Athletics NSW 2017/18 registration numbers attached on the front and back (except in pole vault and high jump events).

On the day entries will be available at the discretion of the Competition Manager. On the day entries for events will be as follows:
Club Championship - $10 per event.
Combined Event Championships $50
5000m Championships - $35

On the Day Check-in
All athletes in TRACK events must report to athlete check in to advise of their intention to compete at least sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled starting time of the event.
Athletes entered in FIELD events only, are not required to report to athlete check in. Instead, field event athletes must report directly to the field event site at least twenty (20) minutes before the scheduled start time.
NSW Club Championships
Events will be held in the following age groups: U14, U16, U18, U20, Open, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.
NSW Combined Event Championships
The NSW Combined Event Championships is conducted in the Under 14, Under 16, Under 18, Under 20, Open, 30+ and 50+ age categories. Ages for all under age and open age groups are determined by age of the athlete on the 31st December 2017. Masters ages are determined as at the first day of competition, the 2nd December 2017.
NSW 5000m Championships
The NSW 5000m Championships are to be held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre on the evening of Saturday 2nd December 2017 and conducted in the open category for both men and women. The 5000m Club Championship events will be conducted as part of the NSW 5000m Championships.
5000m races will be seeded based on seed performance and not age. Athletes will score club points based on their performance when compared with other athletes within their own age category from all races.
The male and female U20 5000m championship will be included in the NSW 5000m Championships.There will be no separate races for U20 athletes. All races will be open seeded races and U20 placing's will be based on finishing times of those eligible.
The 5000m Championships for underage and masters athletes (where applicable) are conducted at the relevant State Championships.
State Championship entry fee is $20. Athletes without a credit card or internet access should contact the Athletics NSW office well in advance of the closing date to arrange alternative entry.
Late entries will be only accepted if positions exist in the most appropriate race for the athlete. Late entry into the Championship is not guaranteed and if accepted will cost $35. The decision of the Athletics NSW Competition Manager is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Start Lists will be posted on the ANSW website by 5:00pm Thursday 30th November 2017. Athletes should check these start lists to confirm the race they will contest and the start time.
All athletes must confirm their entry on the day at least 60 minutes before the race they have been entered. Failure to check in will result in the athlete being scratched from the event.
Athletes must provide a lap scorer, who must report to the finish line area at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the race.
