Bankstown and ANSW, as part of their ongoing commitment to providing athletes with the competition opportunities they require to best prepare them for upcoming national and international meets. The Bankstown Winter Track & Field is the first of two such events.
This event grid has been determined via the demand of the athletes, who we thank in contacting the Bankstown Sports Athletics Club, and Athletics NSW.
The events will be of Athletics NSW permit status - meaning that performances will count towards national qualification.
A draft timetable will be published after the event grid is finalised at COB, Monday 1st July, however the meet will be run between approximately 1pm-4pm.
Due to resourcing constraints over the Winter Season, Athletics NSW and Bankstown Sports will only be able to supply a limited amount of officials and volunteers.
It will be a requirement for a number of volunteers - whether they be friends, family, or coaches of participants - to assist in the coordination of the meet, even if it is for one event on the program.
This messaging will be relayed through communications regarding the meet, and we thank you for your cooperation and assistance in advance.
The event grid for this competition will be decided by the athletes/coaches - it's up to you!
Please note that Hammer Throw cannot be run at this venue, due to council regulations. A Hammer Throw event will be run at the Campbelltown Winter Track & Field on Sunday, 23rd July.
Para-Athletes may also use this competition to attempt to achieve a qualification performance for the World Para-Championships, and at least the Para-200m and Para-Long Jump events will be run at this competition.
Online registrations will open once the event grid is confirmed, after 9am, Monday 1st July
Registrations close Midnight, Thursday 18th July, 2019
Entry is $10 for all athletes, and is open for athletes of all ages and abilities.
