As part of a nation-wide tour, Athletics Australia will be visiting Sydney on Sunday November 8, 2015 to present a workshop with the receiving input towards developing a long-term vision and subsequent strategic plan for Athletics Australia.
Athletics NSW has invited a wide variety of stakeholders to take part, and the following groups will be represented on the day: ANSW Board and staff, Little Athletics NSW Board and staff, NSW Masters Athletics, government sporting agencies, community coaches, high performance coaches, high performance athletes, clubs and officials.
The workshop will assist the Athletics Australia planning team in refining the vision for the sport, as well as identifying the strategic priorities that the new strategic plan should be built around. Following this, a range of stakeholders will continue to be engaged to develop the strategies to address the various priorities identified for the sport. Subsequent opportunities for input will also be presented, with an aim to complete the strategic plan by April 2016.
The workshop will occur on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 3 – 5pm in the Grand Prix Room of Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.
With all RVSPs now received, Athletics NSW advise that a couple of additional places are now available. Please contact Katie Dunn at Athletics NSW if you are interested in taking part of this opportunity.
