Mudgee Running Festival will be held on Sunday, August 20 in Lawson Park Mudgee. This festival has a friendly family atmosphere, and with runners flocking to Mudgee from across the region to participate in the various distances on offer, it is a must-do event on the running calendar.
Half Marathon and Marathon
The marathon courses are some of the most scenic in the mid west, weaving their way through spectacular vineyards, diverse pastoral country and past the Henry Lawson Memorial before finishing in leafy Lawson Park nestled on the banks of the Cudgegong River on the edge of Mudgee’s central business district.
10km and 5km
The ten kilometre event is a popular choice for all runners with the distance seeing individuals of all abilities enjoying the mid-distance event. And then there’s the fun run/walk which caters to the sprinters at the front of the pack all the way back to those running with children and prams. This is the fun side of the Mudgee Running Festival with many participants dressing up in anything from fairy outfits to bee costumes. Everyone is welcome.
Food and drinks will be available in Lawson Park and MCs will keep the crowds entertained and informed throughout the morning.
Online Registrations for the Mudgee Running Festival are now available so be sure to not miss out.
