Athletics NSW invites coaches to attend this professional development session on elements of Strength and Conditioning. Following the Target Talent Program (TTP) practical session, NSWIS Senior Strength and Conditioning coach, Steve Adams, will present three 30 minute sessions to all State Coaches and TTP Personal Coaches. This opportunity has been opened up to all NSW Coaches looking to gain further knowledge in this area.

  • 11.30am - 12.00pm: Planning, Programming & Periodisation

Level 1 Run Leader

The 'Level 1 Recreational Run Leader' Course introduces how to lead a recreational run group under the guidance of a Level 2 Intermediate Recreational Running Coach or higher. In the course, participants learn the fundamental skills of running and how to design the warm up and cool down components of a session. 

Topics include the introduction to training runners, encouraging long-term participation, the design of warm-up and cool down, fundamental skills of running, running training elements and how to successfully lead run groups.
