Sadly at 81 years the energetic Atterton has been forced to slow down physically, but his mind is still as sharp as ever and he continues to coach some of NSW finest distance runners. Aged just 25, northern Sydney coach Angus McEntyre is making an impact on throwing in NSW. At the recent 2XU NSW All Schools Championships, his 10 athletes won 10 medals, including six gold and in one event, the 14-years boy’s discus, they sweep the medals. But as we find out in this interview, despite his young age, McEntyre is not new to coaching, being involved for 10 years.
