Former elite athlete, Natasha Stenberg, has successfully moved into coaching

Author: Athletics NSW Administrator/Wednesday, 8 February 2017/Categories: Coaching Articles

Former Australian representative at the IAAF world juniors, Natasha Stenberg is a welcome addition to the coaching ranks in NSW. The former elite 400/800m athlete is already having an impact on our junior talent as we witnessed over the weekend of the NSW junior championships. Felix Long was outstanding winning the U16 sprints. Another of her athletes, whom she co-coaches with Ben Colless, is Mark Fokas, who is undoubtedly one of leading NSW junior athletes. His progression in the hurdles and 200m has been stunning, including his amazing win in the U17 200m over a top field including ACT’s Edward Osei-Nketi. On the weekend, Natasha also guided the Swann twins, Eliza and Matilda, along with sprinter Greg Allen.

If you have considered getting involved with coaching or completing the next step in your coaching pathway, this weekend Athletics NSW is conducting two coaching course that may interest you:
-on Sunday 12 February we will conduct a Level 1 Community Athletics Coach course at Homebush.
-on Sunday 12 February & 19th February, we will conduct a Level 2 Intermediate Club Coach course at Scots college

More details about the courses and to register please click here.
